Ashley Williams charged by FA with improper conduct at son’s under-12s match | Football

The previous Wales captain Ashley Williams has been charged by the Soccer Affiliation with improper conduct throughout a kids’s match.

The 38-year-old former Swansea and Everton defender has been charged in relation to a confrontation with an opposition coach throughout an under-12s sport in Manchester wherein his son was enjoying. Williams has requested a private listening to and can contest the cost.

A spokesperson for Williams advised the Every day Mail: “Ashley had been assaulted and was defending himself. Now we have 45 witnesses – together with individuals related to the 2 groups who have been about to make use of the pitch – who will again up our model of occasions and we are going to defend Ashley vigorously.”

Manchester County FA stated: “Following an investigation, Mr Williams has been charged by Manchester FA with an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 – improper conduct (together with violent conduct and threatening and/or abusive language/behaviour) – and has responded to the cost requesting a private listening to.”

Williams, who performed 86 instances for Wales, introduced his retirement from soccer in January 2021.
